Back with another Bird House Rules (and well under that ten minute window), I’m here to talk a bit about the evolution of Follow Friday. what started out as tweets like this…
Follow @digitalsista, a Social Media mistress and resource located here in Washington D.C. #followfriday
…many Twitter feeds are getting hit at the end of the week by tweets that look like this…
@digitalsista @chrisbrogan @geechee_girl @ITStudios @chrisabraham @sigmastudios @dananner @fishdogs @LindaVandeVrede @riznphx #ff
Take a deep breath, relax, and follow me to your Zen of the Follow Friday.

I’m looking forward to listening to this one. I’ve been wanting to move back to more of an old-school Follow Friday approach.
Yes! This is just where I am going with my Follow Friday thoughts.
I hope to show folks my approach this Friday.

OK, I made a few mistakes on my first Friday but I will do better next time! Thanks Tee.
If I do FF, which is rare b/c i fear it gets lost in a lot of noise, but I tend to do just one and explain why just as Tee suggests. He’s right on.
However Tee doesn’t mention the opposite side of the FF, like getting one from a popular account. For my company I’ll FF and send out like 10 or so, not for my followers benefit, but as a nod to those that have done me good over the last week. It makes for a nice little reward. I make sure it’s sandwiched by strong content so that I don’t alienate my other followers w a nonsense FF.
